On September 8, 2008, a panel of four health care practitioners discussed health care reform at the in Washington, DC. Phil Davis, manager of the Committee on Publication for the Christian Science church and advocate for spiritual healing joined the head of the Galen Institute, a public polic research organization; the CEO of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists; and the CEO of ABC Coding Solutions, an organization working with insurance reimbursement.Davis spoke of the need to respect pluralism in the U.S. and concurred with the panel that there is more than one way to approach healthcare. He cited a Gallup poll of a few yeras ago that showed 41% of the public have used prayer that resulted in healing.
